Meet Luz!

Luz (she/they) is a Filipino-Mexican-American artist from San Antonio, Texas. She is an alum of North East School of the Arts and is currently a junior getting her BFA in Musical Theatre at Texas State University.She started singing loudly and with vibrato at a young age (see here) and has since learned the art of holding back when necessary. She also grew up watching a lot of Saturday Night Live, which gave her a passion for storytelling and an affinity for comedy. In their free time, you can find them painting, learning languages, and trying to name every country in the world. (Top score: 190/196! Beat that! No reviewing allowed!)

Music Theatre Wichita

In the summer of 2026, Luz was ecstatic to be in two shows at Music Theatre Wichita. She was featured as Ermengarde in Hello, Dolly! and was a part of the ensemble in Elf.

In spring of her sophomore year, Luz performed in the ensemble of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella.

Guys & Dolls @ TXST

In the spring of their freshman year, Luz took on the role of Harry The Horse in Guys & Dolls at Texas State.
